Portraits

I was blessed to take graduation photos for many years for students at the North Dakota Youth Correctional Center. Many of those teenagers had never had their photo taken by a camera before, so I was honored to be the first. When I was their age, I didn't care much about getting my portrait taken, however I see it differently now. As I get older I realize how important it is to have someone capture important moments with clarity and focus, so that you can look back on it and say, "Yes, I did indeed accomplish something amazing!"

I look back so often at the portraits of my family and my pets and debate taking them off my wall and updating them as the kids get older (I just can't do it). They are too precious. They are like time-portals!
