Hi, I'm Megan Holkup
COLLECTOR OF STORIES
I live in Mandan ND, and proudly raise 2 wonderful children who are often my photographical inspiration. I am a Library Media Specialist, and a published co-author with my daughter of the book "Book of Quilia", and have been doing photography for over 20 years. I love to shoot sports as I love the action and story it tells. I am so inspired by the determination and hard work that athletes put in to each and every day, and each photo tells that story. I love to celebrate seniors as well!
A little about me

Where I'm From
I spent first part of my life on a farm in Sentinel Butte, ND and can't believe I got to wake up each morning with the view of the Badlands each day. It was breath-taking.

Travelling
Though we don't get to do it as much as we would like to, our family loves to travel, and we like to take a trip every year whether it is epic or not! Our favorite was cross-country in the car to California to see state and national parks. It was amazing.

Using a camera
My mom showed me how to use a camera, and taught me on an old 35 mm of hers when I was in high school. My mom used to take senior photos for people, and took my sisters' and mine as well. I remember that all of my senior photos costed $4.14 to print total back then!

Inspired
I started taking photos at my son's football games when he was in 3rd grade and made a highlight reel at the end of the year. I did that every year until high school. I still take pictures of the whole team, and "the boys" look for me to see if I'm in the crowd at every game.
